Do it for you, or save your new bridal dress
for someone special. Perhaps someday your daughter or granddaughter
will walk down the aisle wearing the same wedding gown
that meant so much to you. Keep your gown in the family the right
way with the preservation service you can trust!
As a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists,
Gold Label Cleaners and Restoration Labs' MuseumCare™
process preserves this treasured symbol of your marriage vows. MuseumCare™
gown preservation service includes:
- hand cleaning by a Certified Garment Care Professional
- unique anti-sugar stain treatment
- acid-free, archival-quality wedding chest with optional
viewing window
- lifetime, international guarantee*
Be sure to have your wedding dress professionally
cleaned as soon as possible after your wedding. When stains
remain on the fabric, they caramelize and are more difficult to
remove. It can also be harder on the fabric when these stains are
removed.
Our Thoroughness and Attention to Detail Guarantee Great
Results
Our cleaning and preservation service is entirely done at our Denver
Tech Center retail location, not shipped to someone else
in another state. Wedding gowns are hand treated
and personally inspected with a guarantee that your beads, sequins
and other accessories will not be damaged.
Free Evaluation. We will gladly give you a free
consultation and estimate for the care of any fabric, new or old.
We thoroughly inspect your gown for stains, wear, oxidation, and
any other conditions that may exist. We examine the beads, embroidery,
and trim to determine how they should be cleaned.
Hand Cleaning. We hand treat and clean each gown
individually - never in combination with other dresses. We take
every precaution to protect delicate beads, embroidery, and lace
during the cleaning process.
Anti-sugar Stain Treatment. Spills containing
sugar, salt, and acid often dry clear and cannot be seen. These
latent stains do not dissolve during ordinary dry cleaning and turn
an ugly brown over time. Our unique anti-sugar stain treatment ensures
that all sugar, salt, and acid—seen or unseen—is removed.
Fresh Rinse. The gown is rinsed in fresh solvent
for only as long as necessary.
Pressing. We press and hand-finish the gown so
that it drapes in the way its designer intended.
Personal Inspection Available. We encourage you
to inspect your gown before it is placed in its heirloom chest.
Environmentally-Pure, Lasting Protection
All materials used for the preservation of your gown are the same
as those used by museums to preserve textiles. Museum conservators
speculate that some textiles can last for generations using these
processes and packaging. This suggests that some bridal
dresses could be used by generations of brides.
Acid-Free Tissue and Wedding Chest. Vacuum or
plastic seals and other acidic materials damage gowns. We use acid-free
tissue to protect your gown, and carefully package it in a completely
acid-free, archival-quality wedding chest with an optional acid-free
acetate window for viewing your treasured memories.
The box is placed in an unbleached cotton muslin bag to protect
the box and keep it clean during storage. This hand-washable bag
can filter and blot moisture to help keep your gown dry while letting
it breathe.
We recommend that you store your bridal dress in
a cool, dark, dry place, such as the top shelf of an interior closet
on the main floor. Do not store your dress in a location conducive
to moisture, such as a basement, on a cement slab, or in a closet
with an exterior wall. Do not store it in an attic, because the
extreme hot and cold temperatures may cause the fabric to become
brittle over time. Do not store near a continuous light source with
the viewing window exposed, because light will damage delicate fabric
over time. *
International Lifetime Guarantee *
As a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists,
we offer a 100% guarantee against yellowing and discoloration of
your wedding gown * as long as you follow the recommendations
in the paragraph above.
